Happy birthday, oh eighteen year old daughter of my imagination! May this next year bring you much happiness, not too many growing pains and many wonderful experiences for you to always remember and treasure.

Congratulations on such a wonderful job portraying Lydia Bennet in Pride & Prejudice. Most excellent! Anna and I were most happy to be in attendance on your opening night. Do well again tonight and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

And of course, now, sweet daughter, we have added a visit to Blank Children's Hospital to spread some cheer among those little ones who have the misfortune to feel less than their best. Did I tell you we will be taking them all a lovely surprise gift?

Pray tell, at what level of station is a sharp tongue allowed? Conte, perhaps? Twould seem, as that is your current rank, my lord. Perhaps we shall write to King Phillip and request that he send someone to instruct you in more suave, ambassadorial manners.
